Results and Testimonials
Everybody's journey is different, their goals, motivations, obstacles, and struggles may differ, but the methods are largely similar, it's just a matter of knowing how to apply it.
What determines the amount of success is always adherence, effort, and dedication, the more you commit to these, the better the results you will get.
I am grateful to have worked with people who put in the time and effort in my system and got the results they wanted, and honored to have those who decided to share it here.
Since the age of 18, I became very involved in the fitness world. Weight lifting, clean eating, reading anything/everything related to this world I discovered! The more I got into it, the more it began to resonate with me; mentally and physically.
2017 and 2018 I fell off the fitness wagon. Poor health, poor eating habits, stress and no sleep, were all evident on the way I looked and consequently, how felt about myself.
Turning 30, I also discovered, made it more difficult to jump back to looking and feeling my best. The gym routine, meal prepping that worked in my 20’s were not cutting it this time around.
End of 2018, I met Gabriel, who, for the next six months, became a great mentor in this journey of gaining my body back! I wanted to do go through this process naturally! No harsh stress on my body, no diet pills, no surgeries.
Gabriel coached me through attaining a healthy balance between working-out/eating healthy and enjoying life. Gabriel’s approach resonated with me, for the reason that it was educational, encouraging and realistic to what I could expect from the process of losing weight while gaining muscle.
As someone with a previous history of being in phenomenal shape, Yamith had the potential to recover her old body with small and consistent adjustments to her diet and training.
Our nutrition approach was tailored to fit various events and travelling, allowing her to make progress without being too restricted. We were able to dial in macros to maintain the conservative fat loss while gaining muscle and strength.
Training was simplified, and intensified where needed, with her experience it was easy to design a program she could follow with flexibility in volume and training sessions.
Her transformation is due to her admirable consistency, compliance, tracking abilities, and overall intelligent management of her plan.
I have a long career in the gym and with nutrition, and I’ve gotten to lean levels before. As an experienced lifter I know how to lift and eat, but there has always been a struggle cutting to low levels of body fat.
When working with Gabo I learned how to cut managing hunger and feeling very satisfied, his fasting protocols worked great for me, I never thought I could go without food for so long and still feel energetic. His approach to nutrition taught me new thing I didn’t know about protein, quality of food, and demystified a lot of myths I still believed in.
Training was well calculated and distributed, I used to train harder that I needed to, and that’s another invaluable thing I learned: how to manage my lifts to maintain performance while losing weight. His training split made a lot of sense and worked perfect on me.
The best outcome was not just my results, but having learned new methods to achieve and sustain them without the struggle of before.
Bro Dano is a veteran of the weight room who just needed an updated method for cutting from the old-school habits.
We worked on stablishing a different approach from the bland nutrition he was used to when cutting, increasing variety, calorie cycling, and managing food timing to match hunger and not eat every 3 hours.
Training became a structure he could follow, and we reduced a lot of unnecessary work while in a deficit, a 3-day split with enough volume to maintain muscle mass, nothing more and nothing less.
Hi there! My name is Angela. I have always liked to exercise but I had never trained so intensely before, the 1st photo was still going regularly to the gym with a moderate weight, it was training on my own. In the 2nd photograph, I decided to put myself in the hands of Gabriel Lugo (Coach poncho), it was an unusual training outside of what I knew.
I came with pain in my right knee product of Chondromalacia patella and told him that I would not be able to lift 90lbs in dead lift. Gabriel said, trust, if you will. As I tried, for 2 months I was under a 5x5 training I got to lift 180lbs in dead lift, squats 170lbs, bench press 90lbs, and accompanied by what I like to eat rich and in generous quantity LOL, of course everything strictly measured.
It was a pleasure to train hard and eat without prohibitions. Of course I saw notable changes in my legs, waist, and my whole body. Thanks to the guidance, and background knowledge of Gabriel Lugo poncho coach!
When I met Angela she was in what I consider to be the mid spot: you know what you’re doing, it has worked so far, but results are stagnated. All mid-spot people need is a push in the right direction.
Her goals were to get stronger and lose some weight in the process, so her training focused on a basic yet taxing workout to get her muscles stronger while in a slight calorie deficit.
Knowing how to count macros made it easier for her to get the right nutrition. Intermittent fasting worked great for her, with a variant of carb loading (boy she could eat carbs) to make the deficit much more tolerable.
During the time that I worked with Gabe my overall strength improved and I gained muscle mass. He set up an easy to use spreadsheet to calculate my daily macro intake. His guidance and encouragement during our training sessions definitely helped me gain more confidence.
I was really happy with my results after only working together for a couple of months. My overall goal was to increase strength to help me improve my yoga practice. Gabe is a great person to work with and was always helpful with any questions or concerns that I had. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a coach and personal trainer.
Alison came to me after an amazing weight loss journey of over 40lbs. We concentrated on getting her stronger for her yoga practices with a simple program emphasizing primarily in legs and back training for a stronger core and stability.
Nutrition was very simple for her, having good knowledge about food already, it was a matter of just dialing in the macronutrient ratio that gave her the most energy for her training.
Her determination is what got her where she wanted, the work she put in translated into results
My name is Danielle Accomando. I started this cut right after I finished work which was June 26th. I weighed 121lbs before the cut. After the cut ended which was August 23rd I was down to 112 lbs.
At first Gabe had me reduce my calories from 1800 to 1400. This lasted till July 14th. To speed up the process he reduced my calories to 8,000 for the week. To handle this cut I decided to fast. I found that fasting for 20 hours and eating two meals worked best for me. On average I lost a pound a week sometimes 2 lbs a week.
I did not do any cardio, but I did walk and hit 10,000 steps a day. I also did weight training. I found that I would get dizzy and this cut was tough for sure. I did increase my water intake. I drank a gallon of water a day. I am extremely happy with my progress. I haven’t hit my goal yet which is to have lower abs.
The plan is to get me there after a 2 week diet break. I really enjoy working with Gabe. He is very knowledgeable about nutrition and training. I have worked with many coaches, however he has been able to change my body composition and improved my strength. I highly recommend him as a coach.
Danny is an example of dedication and commitment, and her results speak for it. She is still a marvelous work in progress, so if you are reading this is because we are not done with her transformation yet.
We had work in the past but due to surgery in 2018 she had to take a long recovery phase that side tracked her from the goals we had then. Fast forward now she is in it like never before and taking big strides towards the body that she has always wanted.
For the past 10 weeks we have been working on an aggressive cut with diamond cut precision macronutrient intake, physical activity, and training. Being of the petite type, she is one of the toughest clients to work with due to calorie balance management, but thanks to her equally tough approach and mentality we are getting where we want.
Updates on Danny to come soon.
